Holbox winner of L'Oréal for the Future Supplier Day 2021
During its first digital Supplier Day 2021, L'Oréal Austria Germany called on its suppliers to participate in a competition to submit projects that address the themes of climate, water, biodiversity, resources or solidarity sourcing. L'Oréal was overwhelmed by the creative and constructive ideas of its partners and were delighted to announce the three winners.
Holbox, together with Aug. Dönitz Verpackungen GmbH, won the first prize with concepts where the focus is on saving truck and CO2 emissions. By changing display designs, shipping volume is reduced by at least 50%, through more compact, not fully assembled delivery of cardboard displays.

Foldable = Sustainable
One of those projects for which we have been rewarded is this luxury floor display.
By redesigning the display and making it foldable, 4.5 times as many displays now fit on one pallet!
This, of course, means a considerable saving in the number of transports and, consequently, in CO2 emissions!
In addition, a construction that is so easy to assemble that the display is up and running on the store floor in no time!
L'Oréal & Holbox for the future
This re-designing has contributed to the fact that instead of 4 displays on one pallet, we can now place 18 displays on one pallet.
With an average transport of 400 km, we save no less than 600 liters of Diesel with the new design. This results in a reduction of 2234,4 kg CO2 emissions!
Ultimately this means that we have planted 89 trees!
