Limburg family company Holbox expands in Poland
ECHT - Thanks to a strong increase in orders from the European market, Holbox SP.z o.o. will open the doors of its new, sustainable production site in Gliwice, Poland, on November 1.
Familiar ground
Holbox's sales market is growing strongly, particularly in Germany, so an expansion of production capacity has been planned for some time. In addition to German customers, Holbox also supplies customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Scandinavia and increasingly Poland itself. Depending on the destination in Germany, production is either carried out in the Netherlands or in Poland.
Although Gliwice is 350 kilometers from the German border, a new building on the same industrial estate was the best choice. "In Gliwice we have trained personnel who have been working there for years. They are people you can build on. It is very difficult to find the right professionals in this sector."
The opening of the new production location on November 1, means a doubling of the surface area and an increase from four to twelve dock shelters. In addition, optimum use will be made of green electricity through the use of solar panels.
